Asian Continental Individual 2010

In Open field there is GM Li Quang Liem as top seed but lost the first round to IM Kiril Kuderinov. Then followed second and third seed Sasikiran and Ni Hua. GM Wesley So himself seed fourth. This tournament will quite legitimate with almost all top Asian players are in, of course minus the World Champion himself.

In Women, about 24 players are in. WGM Ju Wenjun leading the field with her 2500 rating. The field miss GM Zhu Chen who was playing last year and also delegation from Mongolia who happens to have quite strong girls. Koneru Humpy also missing, she hasn't playing for a while, has she? KL Open 2010 Final Hou Yifan Wins

At KL Open final day, Hou Yifan already secured the first place at round eight, but with a last round draw against Indonesia's no.1 Susanto Megaranto, she is the only sole winner of Kuala Lumpur Open 2010. Shared second place are Nguyen Anh Dung and Mikheil  Mchedlishvili. GM Susanto Megaranto is placed third among six other players. This is considered a bit 'declined' achievement since Megaranto was 2nd place last year.

Dari kaum puteri, WGM Irene agak kurang beruntung ketemu dua GM 2500+, selain Susanto, si Irene musti kalah set melawan GM Marat Dzhumaev. Bersama Dewi A.A.
