Today, March 22nd 2021, a chess match between IM/WGM Irene K. Sukandar vs Dadang Subur was live streamed on Youtube by Indonesian youtuber Deddy Corbuzier. The match is the last episode of gigantic viral drama that involved online chess gamer mr Dadang Subur, also known as Dewa Kipas as his online chess account.
The chess drama in very brief can be summarized as follow: unknown Indonesian chess user won an online chess games against an International Master. Happened on March 2nd 2021 in chess.com. The keyword to search this game is Gotham Chess vs Dewa Kipas, Gotham Chess is user name for IM Levy Rozman. The game soon viral because chess.com later banned Dewa Kipas account as the result of their investigation system. It was viral because Indonesian netizen react badly to this decision.

This viral case captured attention of another popular Indonesian personality, Deddy Corbuzier, who then conducted an interview with user of Dewa Kipas account, revealed as an amateur chess enthusiast, his name is mr Dadang Subur.
The interview added story from Dadang Subur's point of view. Unfortunately, this interview was not approved by most Indonesian professional chess players. The case now escalated and investigated by Indonesian Chess Federation (Percasi), resulting in a Youtube press conference. Also, IM/WGM Irene K. Sukandar wrote an open letter to Deddy Corbuzier.
The open letter was accepted. Irene K. Sukandar interviewed by Deddy Corbuzier to speak out her view on this case. Interestingly, IM Levy Rozman also invited in this interview. As a result, a formal chess match between Irene vs Dadang Subur was arranged.
The chess match , which only prepared in three days, was streamed and viewed with a record breaking 1.2 million live spectators. As the time of writing, the video already got 3 millions viewed in just three hours. The link to youtube video are here :
Irene K. Sukandar won the match with 3-0 score. Most of the games involved an obvious blunder by Dadang Subur. The match commentators were GM Susanto Megaranto himself with WIM Chelsie Monica. In the end of this match, a record breaking of 200 millions Indonesian Rupiah (approx USD 13.900) was presented to the winner, and 100 millions Indonesian Rupiah for the loser (approx. USD 7000) . Everyone hope that the three games played in this match will speak for itself, against the Dewa Kipas vs Gotham Chess result.
And in the end, it was also a happy ending, for both of them and also for Indonesian chess in general. Chess is now trending in Indonesia.

Episode terakhir drama percaturan "Dewa Kipas" akhirnya usai dengan dwi tarung persahabatan antara IM/WGM Irene K. Sukandar melawan Dadang Subur.
Seperti diketahui, nickname Dewa Kipas namanya meroket viral karena mengalahkan user Gotham Chess, yang adalah seorang International Master dari USA bernama IM Levy Rozman. Pemilik akun Dewa Kipas yaitu bapak Dadang Subur mengalahkan IM Levy di platform online via chess.com. Partai caturnya inipun beken di dunia maya dengan keyword Dewa Kipas vs Gotham Chess. Saya tidak perlu mengulang lagi kisah seru ini karena sudah viral di mana-mana.
Singkat cerita, game antara Irene K. Sukandar vs Dadang Subur berakhir dengan score 3-0 untuk Irene. Hasil dari pertandingan persahabatan yang menggunakan waktu kontrol 10 menit ini diharapkan bisa menjadi penutup drama ini.
